The General Teaching Council for Northern Ireland (Constitution) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2014

Coming into operation: 8th September 2014

The Department of Education makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 34 of and paragraph 1 of Schedule 1 to the Education (Northern Ireland) Order 1998 .

Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the General Teaching Council for Northern Ireland (Constitution) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2014 and shall come into operation on 8th September 2014.

Amendment of the General Teaching Council for Northern Ireland (Constitution) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2001

• (1) The General Teaching Council for Northern Ireland (Constitution) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2001 are amended in accordance with paragraphs (2) and (3).

• (2) In regulation 8 (term of office), in paragraph (1) at the beginning insert “ Subject to regulation 8A, ”.
