Coming into operation

The Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety makes the following regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 7(2), 12(2) and 14(2) of, and paragraph 3 of Schedule 1, paragraph 3 of Schedule 2 and paragraphs 3 and 5 of Schedule 3 to the Health and Social Care (Reform) Act (Northern Ireland) 2009[^f00001].

Amendment of the principal regulations

For regulation 4(1) in the principal regulations (Disqualification for appointment) substitute the following—

(4) (1) Subject to regulation 5, a Chair or a person appointed under regulation 2(1) shall be disqualified for appointment if that person –

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These regulations amend the principal regulations to provide that the Chairs of the Regional Health and Social Care Board, the Regional Agency for Public Health and Social Well-being and the Regional Business Services Organisation are disqualified for appointment on the same basis as other members appointed by the Department to these bodies.
