The Department of Education, in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 1(3) of the Education (Northern Ireland) Order 1998[^f00001], makes the following Order:

This Order may be cited as the Education (1998 Order) (Commencement No.7) Order (Northern Ireland) 2015.

The day appointed for coming into operation of Article 81(2) of the Education (Northern Ireland) Order 1998 is 6th March 2015.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order brings into operation Article 81(2) of the Education (Northern Ireland) Order 1998 which makes it necessary for the Department of Education to approve all courses, provided in schools, leading to external qualifications for pupils who have gained the upper limit of compulsory school age.
