Coming into operation: 1st April 2015

The Department of Finance and Personnel makes the following Order, in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 3(4) of the Superannuation (Northern Ireland) Order 1972[^f00001] and now vested in it[^f00002].

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Superannuation (District Councils) Order (Northern Ireland) 2015 and shall come into operation on 1st April 2015.

Addition to list of employments

There shall be added to the employments listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation (Northern Ireland) Order 1972 with effect from 1st April 2015, employment in the Northern Ireland district councils[^f00003].

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order adds employment in the Northern Ireland district councils to the employments listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation (Northern Ireland) Order 1972 for which the Department of Finance and Personnel may make pension schemes.
