The Department for Regional Development makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 48 of the Transport Act (Northern Ireland) 2011[^f00001].
Citation and interpretation

- (1) This Order may be cited as the Transport (2011 Act) (Commencement No.3) Order (Northern Ireland) 2015.
- (2) In this Order—
- “the Act” means the Transport Act (Northern Ireland) 2011.
Appointed day

- (1) The appointed day for the coming into operation of the provisions of the Act specified in the Schedule, subject to paragraphs (2) and (3), is 5th October 2015.
- (2) The commencement of sections 18 and 20 of the Act and the amendments effected to the 1967 Act by section 47(1) and (2) of the Act (except for the amendments effected by paragraph 9(2) and (4) of Schedule 1) in so far as not already in operation do not have effect in relation to road service licences granted under the 1967 Act prior to 5th October 2015.
- (3) Paragraph (2) does not apply to road service licences granted to Ulsterbus Ltd or Citybus Ltd (Metro).

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This is the third Commencement Order to be made under the Transport Act (Northern Ireland) 2011.
Article 2 brings into operation sections 1(1) to (8), 2(2), 3, 4(1) (4) and (5), 5(2) and (3), 6, 7, 8(1), (3) and (4), 9, 10, 11, 12, 13(2) to (5), 14(1) and (5), 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31(2), 34 and 47(1) and schedule 1, 47(2) and schedule 2 in so far as not already commenced by the Commencement No. 1 Order and 47(3) and (4) of the Act.
