Coming into operation: 1st April 2016

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 8(1), (2) and (5) of the Diseases of Animals (Northern Ireland) Order 1981[^f00003] and section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 having consulted with the bodies which appeared to it to be substantially representative of the interests concerned and with the approval of the Department of Finance and Personnel.

Citation and commencement and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Northern Ireland Poultry Health Assurance Scheme (Fees) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2016 and come into operation on 1st April 2016.

(2) The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954[^f00004] shall apply to this Order as it shall apply to an Act of the Assembly.

Amendment of The Northern Ireland Poultry Health Assurance Scheme (Fees) Order (Northern Ireland) 2012

(1) The Northern Ireland Poultry Health Assurance Scheme (Fees) Order (Northern Ireland) 2012[^f00005] shall be amended in accordance with paragraph (2).

(2) For the Schedule substitute the Schedule to this Order.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order amends The Northern Ireland Poultry Health Assurance Scheme (Fees) Order (Northern Ireland) 2012. The Order makes provision for the Department to charge fees for activities required under Council Directive 2009/158/EC (on animal health conditions governing intra-Community trade in, and imports from third countries, of poultry and hatching eggs). The activities and fees are listed in the Schedule.
