The Welfare Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 2015 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2016

Those powers are exercisable by the Secretary of State by virtue of Article 4(1)(a) of that Order.

Citation

This Order may be cited as the Welfare Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 2015 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2016.

Provisions coming into force on 17th March 2016

The following provisions in Part 6 (social security: general) of the Welfare Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 2015 come into force on 17th March 2016—

• (a) Article 107(1) to (6);

• (b) in Schedule 11, paragraphs 1 to 8 and 12 to 15.

Amendment of earlier commencement order

In the Welfare Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 2015 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2016[^f00002], in Article 5, for paragraph (a) substitute—

(a) in Chapter 2 (employment and support allowance)— (i) Article 57(4) comes into force on 17th March 2016; (ii) Article 57(1) to (3) and Article 58 come into force on 28th November 2016;

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order:

• brings into force provisions of the Welfare Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 2015 relating to requirements to consider revising a decision before appeal, and

• amends the Welfare Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 2015 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2016 in respect of provision relating to employment and support allowance.
