The Department of the Environment makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 27(2) of the Environmental Better Regulation Act (Northern Ireland) 2016[^f00001].

This Order may be cited as the Environmental Better Regulation (2016 Act) (Commencement No. 1) Order (Northern Ireland) 2016.
Appointed day

The day appointed for the coming into operation of sections 7 to 14 of the Environmental Better Regulation Act (Northern Ireland) 2016 is 1st May 2016.
