The Licensing (Designation of Outdoor Stadia) (No.2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2016

Coming into operation: 1st September 2016

The Department for Communities[^f00001] makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 2AA(c) of the Licensing (Northern Ireland) Order 1996[^f00002] and now vested in it[^f00003].

Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Licensing (Designation of Outdoor Stadia) (No.2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2016 and shall come into operation on 1st September 2016.

Designation of outdoor stadium

The National Football Stadium for Northern Ireland at Windsor Park, Belfast is designated as an outdoor stadium of importance to the whole of Northern Ireland for the purposes of Article 2AA(c) of the Licensing (Northern Ireland) Order 1996.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations designate the National Football Stadium for Northern Ireland at Windsor Park, Belfast as an outdoor stadium of importance to the whole of Northern Ireland. This designation allows the Irish Football Association to apply to the courts for a liquor licence at the stadium.
