Coming into operation: 1st June 2018

The Department of Justice makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 28(2) and (3) of the Justice Act (Northern Ireland) 2016[^f00001].

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Enforcement of Fines and Other Penalties (Revocations) Order (Northern Ireland) 2018 and shall come into operation on 1st June 2018.

Revocations

The following are revoked—

(a) the Road Traffic Fixed Penalties (Enforcement of Fines) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1997[^f00002]; and

(b) the Penalty Notices (Justice Act (Northern Ireland) 2011) (Enforcement of Fines) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012[^f00003].

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order revokes the Road Traffic Fixed Penalties (Enforcement of Fines) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1997 (S.R. 1997 No.344) and the Penalty Notices (Justice Act (Northern Ireland) 2011) (Enforcement of Fines) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012 (S.R. 2012 No.188) in consequence of Part 1 of the Justice Act (Northern Ireland) 2016 which makes new provision for the enforcement of fines and other financial penalties.
