Those powers are exercisable by the Secretary of State by virtue of Article 4(1) of the Welfare Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 2015[^f00002].

Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Universal Credit (Managed Migration and Miscellaneous Amendments) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020 and come into operation on 4th August 2020.

Amendment of the Universal Credit (Managed Migration and Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2019

(1) The Universal Credit (Managed Migration and Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2019[^f00003] are amended as follows.

(2) In paragraph (1) of regulation 4 (two week run-on of income-based jobseeker’s allowance and income-related employment and support allowance: day appointed for abolition), after “beginning with the day” insert “after the day”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations amend the Universal Credit (Managed Migration and Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2019 (S.R. 2019 No. 152) to correct a technical error and ensure regulation 4 of those Regulations provides for a full two week run-on of income-based jobseeker’s allowance and income-related employment and support allowance.

A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the private, public or voluntary sectors is foreseen.
