The Planning (Development Management) (Temporary Modifications) (Coronavirus) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020

Coming into operation: 1st October 2020
The Department for Infrastructure[^f00001] makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 27(5) and 247(1) and (6) of the Planning Act (Northern Ireland) 2011[^f00002] and now vested in it[^f00003].
Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Planning (Development Management) (Temporary Modifications) (Coronavirus) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020 and shall come into operation on 1st October 2020.
Amendment to the Planning (Development Management) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015

- (1) The Planning (Development Management) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015[^f00004] are amended as follows:
- (2) In regulation 5A (temporary relaxation of pre-application community consultation requirements during Coronavirus emergency period)[^f00005]—
- (a) in paragraph (3) for the “30th September 2020” substitute “31st March 2021”;
- (b) omit paragraph (4).

EXPLANATORY NOTE
These Regulations amend the temporary modifications to the Planning (Development Management) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015.
Regulation 2 amends the Planning (Development Management) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015 to amend the “emergency period” end date to 31st March 2021.
