Coming into operation: 17th September 2022

In accordance with sections 25(8) and 26(6) of that Act the Department has consulted the Northern Ireland Policing Board and the Police Association for Northern Ireland before making these Regulations.

Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Police Service of Northern Ireland (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2022 and shall come into operation on 17th September 2022.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations amend the Police Service of Northern Ireland Regulations 2005 and the Police Service of Northern Ireland and Police Service of Northern Ireland Reserve (Injury Benefit) Regulations 2006 to allow for the public holiday on 19th September 2022, the date of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s State Funeral.
