Coming into operation: 1st March 2022

The Department for Infrastructure[^f00001] makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 213(4A) of the Water and Sewerage Services (Northern Ireland) Order 2006[^f00002].

Citation and commencement.

This Order may be cited as the Grants to Water and Sewerage Undertakers Order (Northern Ireland) 2022 and shall come into operation on 1st March 2022.

Amendment to the Water and Sewerage Services (Northern Ireland) Order 2006

In paragraph (3) of Article 213 of the Water and Sewerage Services (Northern Ireland) Order 2006 substitute “the period ending on 31st March 2022” with “the period ending on 31st March 2027”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order amends Article 213 of the Water and Sewerage Services (Northern Ireland) Order 2006 to extend the period during which the Department for Infrastructure shall make grants to relevant undertakers, in accordance with that Article, to 31st March 2027.
