The Rate Relief (Lone Pensioner Allowance) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2022

Coming into operation: 1st April 2022
The Department of Finance[^f00001] makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 30A of the Rates (Northern Ireland) Order 1977[^f00002].
Citation and Commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Rate Relief (Lone Pensioner Allowance) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2022 and shall come into operation on 1st April 2022.
Amendment of the Rate Relief (Lone Pensioner Allowance) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2008

- (1) The Rate Relief (Lone Pensioner Allowance) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2008[^f00003] are amended in accordance with paragraph (2).
- (2) In Paragraph 1(3)(b) of the Schedule after “section 72(4) of that Act” add “or the daily living component of personal independence payment at the enhanced rate in accordance with Article 83(2) of the Welfare Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 2015”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
These regulations amend paragraph 1(3)(b) of the Schedule to the Rate Relief (Lone Pensioner Allowance) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2008 to insert an appropriate reference to personal independence payment where there is a reference to the equivalent disability living allowance award.
