The Pensions Regulator consents to the making of this Order as required by Article 87(2) of the Pensions (Northern Ireland) Order 2005.

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Pensions (2005 Order) (Codes of Practice) (Revocation) Order (Northern Ireland) 2024 and shall come into operation on 5th July 2024.

Revocation of codes of practice

The following Codes of Practice are revoked—

Consent given by authority of the Pensions Regulator on 6th June 2024

Nausicaa Delfas — Chief Executive of the Pensions Regulator

Explanatory note

(This is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order revokes codes of practice that were issued by the Pensions Regulator. The Pensions Regulator has issued the General code of practice which consolidates ten existing codes of practice and provides guidance to those running occupational, personal and public service pension schemes.

The General code of practice is available on the Pensions Regulator’s website: https://www.thepensionsregulator.gov.uk/en/document-library. Copies may be obtained by post from the Pensions Regulator, Telecom House, 125-135 Preston Road, Brighton BN1 6AF.
