The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 6(2) of the Pet Abduction Act 2024[^f00001].

Citation

This Order may be cited as The Pet Abduction (2024 Act) (Commencement) Order (Northern Ireland) 2024.

Appointed Day

2

The day appointed for the coming into force is—

(a) sections 1 and 2, so far as they extend to Northern Ireland; and

(b) section 4,

of the Pet Abduction Act 2024 is 24th August 2024.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order appoints 24th August 2024 as the day for the coming into force of sections 1 and 2 (so far as they extend to Northern Ireland) and section 4 of the Pet Abduction Act 2024.
