The Police Pensions (Amendment No. 2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2024
Made: 17th December 2024
Coming into operation: 1st April 2025
In accordance with section 3(5)[^f00002] of the 2014 Act, the Department of Finance has consented to the making of these Regulations.
Citation, commencement and effect

- (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Police Pensions (Amendment No. 2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2024.
- (2) These Regulations come into operation on 1st April 2025.
Amendment of the Police Pensions Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015

The Police Pensions Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015[^f00003] are amended in accordance with Regulation 3.
Rate of member’s contributions

In regulation 169 (Rate of member’s contributions) after paragraph (5) omit table and insert—

EXPLANATORY NOTE
These Regulations amend the Police Pensions Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015 (S.R. 2015 No. 113) in order to amend the rates of contributions payable by members of the police pension scheme governed by these Regulations to address a shortfall in employee pension contributions identified by the Government Actuary in the 2020 police pension scheme valuation.
