The Health and Social Care Pension Scheme (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2024

Made: 8th March 2024

Coming into operation: 1st April 2024

In accordance with Article 12(1) of the 1972 Order and section 3(5) of the 2014 Act, these Regulations are made with the consent of the Department of Finance.

Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Health and Social Care Pension Scheme (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2024 and come into operation on 1 April 2024.

Amendment of the Health and Social Care Pension Scheme Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015

In the Health and Social Care Pension Scheme Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015[^f00003] in regulation 32 (Contributions by employing authorities), in paragraph (1), for “22.5%” substitute “23.2%”.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations further amend The Health and Social Care Pension Scheme Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015 (S.R. 2015 No. 120) (“the 2015 Regulations”).

These Regulations come into operation on 1st April 2024.

Regulation 1 provides for citation, commencement.

Regulation 2 makes amendments in respect of the 2015 Regulations in that they increase the employer contribution rate from 1st April 2024.
