Coming into operation: 4th March 2025

The Department for Communities[^f00001] makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 106(5) of The Betting, Gaming, Lotteries and Amusements (Northern Ireland) Order 1985[^f00002] and now vested in it[^f00003].

Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as The Gaming (Gaming Machines in Registered Clubs) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2025 and shall come into operation on 4th March 2025.

Maximum prize in respect of any one game played by means of a gaming machine in a registered club

For the purposes of Article 106(5) (use of gaming machines in registered clubs) of The Betting, Gaming, Lotteries and Amusements (Northern Ireland) Order 1985 the prescribed amount is £400.

Revocation

The Gaming (Bingo (Amendment) and Gaming Machine (Registered Clubs)) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1999[^f00004] are revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations prescribe £400 for the purposes of Article 106(5) of The Betting, Gaming, Lotteries and Amusements (Northern Ireland) Order 1985, as the maximum prize in respect of any one game played by means of a gaming machine in a registered club.

These Regulations also revoke the Gaming (Bingo (Amendment) and Gaming Machine (Registered Clubs)) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1999.
