Coming into operation: 31st March 2025

The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 48 and 50(3)(a) of, and paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to, the Agriculture Act 2020[^f00001].

Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These regulations may be cited as The Direct Payments to Farmers (Cross-Compliance) (Revocation) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2025 and come into operation on 31st March 2025.

(2) The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954[^f00002] shall apply to these Regulations as it applies to an Act of the Assembly.

Revocation

The Direct Payments to Farmers (Cross-Compliance) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2024[^f00003] are revoked.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 48 and 50(3)(a) of, and paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to, the Agriculture Act 2020 (c.21) in order to make provision in assimilated direct legislation governing payments for nationally funded schemes.

Regulation 2 revokes the Direct Payments to Farmers (Cross-Compliance) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2024.
