Coming into operation: 31st May 2025
The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs is a relevant national authority for the purposes of section 14(2) of the 2023 Act[^f00002].
Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Quality of Bathing Water (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2025 and shall come into operation on 31st May 2025.
Interpretation
2
The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954[^f00003] applies to these Regulations as it applies to an Act of the Assembly.

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE
These Regulations replace Schedule 1 of the Quality of Bathing Water Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2008, to add Brompton Bay, Cushendall, Drain’s Bay, Donaghadee, Portmuck, Rea’s Wood (Inland) and Warrenpoint to the list of identified bathing waters in Regulations.
