The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by section 59(6)(a) of the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994[^f00001] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:

The local statutory provisions described in the Schedule to this Order are hereby exempted for the purposes of section 59(6)(a) of the 1994 Act and, accordingly, shall not cease to have effect on 31st December 1999.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order exempts those local statutory provisions listed in the Schedule from ceasing to have effect on 31st December 1999 in terms of section 59(6)(a) of the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994.
