The Lothian University Hospitals National Health Service Trust (Dissolution) Order 2003

Coming into force: 1st January 2004

The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 12A(1) and 105(6) of and paragraph 25(1) of Schedule 7A to the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978[^f00001] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, having received an application[^f00002] from the Lothian University Hospitals National Health Service Trust and after completion of the consultation prescribed under paragraph 25(3) of the said Schedule 7A[^f00003], hereby make the following Order:

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Lothian University Hospitals National Health Service Trust (Dissolution) Order 2003 and shall come into force on 1st January 2004.

Dissolution of NHS trust

The Lothian University Hospitals National Health Service Trust is hereby dissolved.

Revocations

The Orders specified in the Schedule are hereby revoked.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order provides by article 2 for the dissolution on 1st January 2004 of the Lothian University Hospitals National Health Service Trust. As a consequence of that dissolution this Order also revokes the Order establishing that trust and Orders amending the establishment Order, which are all detailed in the Schedule.
