The Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2005

Made: 1st August 2005

The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 88 and 90 of the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005[^f00001], hereby make the following Order:

Citation

This Order may be cited as the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2005.

Appointed day

2

2nd August 2005 is the appointed day for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005:–

• (a) sections 1 to 10;

• (b) section 11, so far as not already in force;

• (c) sections 12 to 15;

• (d) section 16, so far as not already in force;

• (e) sections 17 to 39;

• (f) section 40, so far as not already in force;

• (g) sections 41 to 52;

• (h) sections 80 and 81;

• (i) sections 83 to 86;

• (j) sections 89 and 91; and

• (k) schedules 1, 3 and 4.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order brings into force on 2nd August 2005 the following provisions of the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 (asp 5), so far as they are not already in force:–

• Parts 1, 2, 4 and 5; and

• schedules 1, 3 and 4.
