The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 4(2) and section 103(2) of the Children (Scotland) Act 1995[^f00001] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Parental Responsibilities and Parental Rights Agreement (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2006 and shall come into force on 3rd June 2006.

Amendment of the Parental Responsibilities and Parental Rights Agreement (Scotland) Regulations 1996

For the Schedule to the Parental Responsibilities and Parental Rights Agreement (Scotland) Regulations 1996[^f00002] substitute the Schedule to these Regulations.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the Parental Responsibilities and Parental Rights Agreement (Scotland) Regulations 1996 to update references in the Schedule to the law in relation to fathers who automatically obtain parental responsibilities and rights in terms of section 3 of the Children (Scotland) Act 1995 as amended by section 23 of the Family Law (Scotland) Act 2006.
