The Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003 (Treatment of Office or Body as Specified Authority) Order 2006

The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 3(3) of the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003[^f00001]and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order, a draft of which has, in accordance with section 18(4) of that Act, been laid before and approved by resolution of the Scottish Parliament:
Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003 (Treatment of Office or Body as Specified Authority) Order 2006 and shall come into force on the day after the day on which it is made.
Treatment of Office or Body as Specified Authority

The Scottish Police Services Authority shall be treated, for the purposes of or in connection with any appointment to that body as if it were a specified authority within the meaning of section 2(1) of the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order provides that the Scottish Police Services Authority shall, for the purposes of appointments to that body, be treated as if it were a specified authority listed in schedule 2 to the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003.
