The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 7 and 23(f) and (g) of the Animal Health Act 1981[^f00001], and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:

The Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978[^f00002] is amended as follows–

Revocation

The Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Amendment (No. 2) (Scotland) Order 2005[^f00003]is revoked.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order, which applies in Scotland only, amends the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978 (S.I. 1978/32) and revokes the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) (No. 2) (Scotland) Order 2005 (S.I. 2005/587). It comes into force on 16thJune 2006.

The Order substitutes for Schedules 1 and 2 to the 1978 Order the Schedules 1 and 2 set out in this Order. Schedule 1 lists disinfectants approved by the Scottish Ministers and Schedule 2 lists disinfectants which are approved for use only during a transitional period until 15th September 2006.

This Order was notified in draft to the European Commission in accordance with Directive 98/34/EC, as amended by Directive 98/48/EC.

A full regulatory impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as it has no impact on the costs of business.
