The Housing (Scotland) Act 2006 (Commencement No. 4) Order 2006
Made: 27th November 2006
The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 191(2) and 195(3) of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2006[^f00001], hereby make the following Order:
Citation

This Order may be cited as the Housing (Scotland) Act 2006 (Commencement No. 4) Order 2006.
Commencement of Provisions

The day appointed for the coming into force of the provisions of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2006 specified in Column 1 of the Table below is as shown in Column 2, but where a particular purpose is specified in relation to any provision in Column 3, that provision shall come into force on that day only for that purpose.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into force on 4th December 2006 provisions allowing local authorities to carry out or arrange work or demolition and a provision on right of entry in connection with those powers. Section 57 creates a new offence of failing to comply with a sheriff’s order to permit works to be done.
The Order also commences the power of local authorities to obtain information to carry out their functions, and general provisions on date of operation of notices etc, forms and formal communications and offences.
It brings into force, but only for the purpose of making regulations, provisions dealing with the duty to provide information on the sale of a house and the making and determination of certain applications to the private rented housing panel.
