The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the power conferred by section 55(1) of the Animal Health and Welfare (Scotland) Act 2006[^f00001], hereby make the following Order:

This Order may be cited as the Animal Health and Welfare (Scotland) Act 2006 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2007.
Appointed day

The appointed day for the coming into force of section 20(1) to (3) of the Animal Health and Welfare (Scotland) Act 2006 is 30th April 2007.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order provides that the appointed day for the coming into force of section 20(1) to (3) of the Animal Health and Welfare (Scotland) Act 2006 (asp 11) (“the Act”) is 30th April 2007. These subsections provide for various offences in relation to the mutilation of animals.
