The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections75A, 105(7) and 108(1) of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978[^f00001] and all other powers enabling them to do so.
Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (Travelling Expenses and Remission of Charges) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2010 and come into force on 6thApril 2010.
Amendment of the National Health Service (Travelling Expenses and Remission of Charges) (Scotland) (No.2) Regulations 2003

- (1) The National Health Service (Travelling Expenses and Remission of Charges) (Scotland) (No.2) Regulations 2003[^f00002] are amended as follows.
- (2) In column2 of TableA of the Schedule—
- (a) in the entry relating to regulation45, for “£23,000” substitute “£23,250”; and
- (b) in the entry relating to regulation53—
- (i) for “£14,000” substitute “£14,250”; and
- (ii) for “£23,000” substitute “£23,250”.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Regulations)
EXPLANATORY NOTE
These Regulations amend the National Health Service (Travelling Expenses and Remission of Charges) (Scotland) (No.2) Regulations 2003 (“the Regulations”).
Regulation2(2) amends the entries in TableA of the Schedule to the Regulations relating to regulations45 and 53 of the Income Support (General) Regulations 1987 (S.I.1987/1967) to increase the capital limits to be used in calculating entitlement to the remission of charges and/or payment of travelling expenses for certain claimants under the Regulations.
