The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section33(2) and (4) of the Property Factors (Scotland) Act 2011[^f00001].

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Property Factors (Scotland) Act 2011 (Commencement No.1) Order 2011 and comes into force on 23rd September 2011.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order brings into force on 23rd September 2011, sections 1(3), 2, 10(5), 14, 15, 25 and 26 of the Property Factors (Scotland) Act 2011 (“the Act”) for all purposes and sections 3, 7 and 13 of the Act for the limited purposes of enabling the Scottish Ministers to make, or to make provision by means of subordinate legislation.

The Bill for the Act received Royal Assent on 7th April 2011. Part 3 of the Act came into force on 8th April 2011. The Act (except Part 3) comes into force on 1st October 2012 to the extent it is not already in force.
