The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section49(2) of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games Act 2008[^f00001].

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Glasgow Commonwealth Games Act 2008 (Commencement No.3) Order 2012 and comes into force on 29th November 2012.

Appointed day

The day appointed for the coming into force of the provisions of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games Act 2008 specified in column 1 of the Schedule (the subject matter being specified in column 2) is 29th November 2012.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order brings into force on 29th November 2012 those provisions of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games Act 2008 (“the Act”) that are specified in the Schedule to the Order.

In particular, the Order brings into force the following provisions—

Sections 43 and 47 to 51 of the Act came into force on Royal Assent which was received on 10thJune 2008.
