In accordance with section 54(2) of that Act, they have consulted and shared a draft of the Regulations with the persons mentioned in section 54(2)(a)(i) to (vi) and have considered any representations made.

These Regulations may be cited as the Police Service of Scotland Regulations 2013 and come into force on 1st April 2013.

Constables may retire in such circumstances as must be determined by the Scottish Ministers, and in making such a determination the Scottish Ministers may require such notice of intention to retire as may be specified in the determination, or such shorter notice as may have been accepted by the Authority, to be given to the Authority.
