The Children’s Hearings (Scotland) Act 2011 (Commencement No. 10) Order 2020

The Scottish Ministers make following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 206(2) of the Children’s Hearings (Scotland) Act 2011[^f00001].
Citation, commencement and interpretation

- (1) This Order may be cited as the Children’s Hearings (Scotland) Act 2011 (Commencement No. 10) Order 2020 and comes into force on 7 September 2020.
- (2) In this Order—
- “the Act” means the Children’s Hearings (Scotland) Act 2011.
Appointed day

In relation to section 122 of the Act (children’s advocacy services)—
- (a) 7 September 2020 is the appointed day for the coming into force of sub-sections (4) – (7),
- (b) 21 November 2020 is the appointed day for the coming into force of sub-sections (1) – (3).

(This note is not part of the Order)
EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order brings into force section 122 of the Children’s Hearings (Scotland) Act 2011 (“the Act”) on 7 September 2020 (sub-sections (4) – (7)) and 21 November 2020 (sub-sections (1) to (3)). Section 122 makes provision in relation to children’s advocacy services.
