The Management of Offenders etc. (Scotland) Act 2005 (Specification of Persons) Amendment Order 2020

The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 10(3) of the Management of Offenders etc. (Scotland) Act 2005[^f00001] and all other powers enabling them to do so.
Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Management of Offenders etc. (Scotland) Act 2005 (Specification of Persons) Amendment Order 2020 and comes into force on 8 January 2021.

In the schedule of the Management of Offenders etc. (Scotland) Act 2005 (Specification of Persons) Order 2007 (persons specified for the purposes of section 10(3) of the Management of Offenders etc. (Scotland) Act 2005)[^f00002], after the penultimate paragraph insert—
The Scottish Ministers in exercise of their functions under the Social Security (Scotland) Act 2018[^f00003].

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order amends the Management of Offenders etc. (Scotland) Act 2005 (Specification of Persons) Order 2007 (“the 2007 Order”). Article 2 amends the schedule of the 2007 Order to include the Scottish Ministers, in exercising their functions under the Social Security (Scotland) Act 2018, as a ‘person’ required to mutually co-operate with the responsible authorities specified in section 10(7) of the Management of Offenders etc. (Scotland) Act 2005.
