The UEFA European Championship (Scotland) Act 2020 (Commencement No. 1) Regulations 2020

The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 35(2) of the UEFA European Championship (Scotland) Act 2020[^f00001].
Citation, commencement and interpretation

- (1) These Regulations may be cited as the UEFA European Championship (Scotland) Act 2020 (Commencement No. 1) Regulations 2020 and come into force on 9 March 2020.
- (2) In these Regulations, “the Act” means the UEFA European Championship (Scotland) Act 2020.
Appointed day

The day appointed for the coming into force of the provisions of the Act specified in column 1 of the table in the schedule of these Regulations (the subject matter of which is described in the corresponding entry in column 2) is 9 March 2020.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Regulations)
EXPLANATORY NOTE
These Regulations bring sections 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 26 and 29 of the UEFA European Championship (Scotland) Act 2020 (“the Act”) into force on 9 March 2020.
The Bill for the Act received Royal Assent on 23 January 2020. Sections 32 to 37 came into force on the following day.
