The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the power conferred by section 63(2) of the Planning (Scotland) Act 2019[^f00001].

Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Planning (Scotland) Act 2019 (Commencement No. 7) Regulations 2021 and come into force on 17 July 2021.

Appointed day – promotion and use of mediation etc.

The day appointed for the coming into force of section 40 (promotion and use of mediation etc.) of the Planning (Scotland) Act 2019 is 17 July 2021.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations bring section 40 of the Planning (Scotland) Act 2019 (“the Act”) fully into force on 17 July 2021.

The Bill for the Act received Royal Assent on 25 July 2019. Sections 58 to 61, 63 and 64 came into force on the following day.
