The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 216(2) of the Education Reform Act 1988[^f00001], and all other powers enabling them to do so.

Amendment of the Education (Listed Bodies) (Scotland) Order 2018

The Education (Listed Bodies) (Scotland) Order 2018[^f00002] is amended in accordance with article 3.

In section 1 of Part 1 of the schedule (bodies providing courses in preparation for a degree generally)—

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The Education (Listed Bodies) (Scotland) Order 2018 (“the 2018 Order”) lists the name of every body which is not a recognised body within section 216(4)(a) or (b) of the Education Reform Act 1988 but which appears to the Scottish Ministers either-

1.

to provide a course which is in preparation for a degree to be granted by such a recognised body and is approved by or on behalf of the recognised body, or

2.

to be a constituent college, school, hall or other institution of a university which is such a recognised body.

This Order amends the 2018 Order to correct minor drafting errors in the list of bodies contained in section 1 of Part 1 of the schedule of that Order, which sets out the list of bodies that appear to the Scottish Ministers to provide courses in preparation for a degree generally.
