The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 37(1) of the Prisons (Scotland) Act 1989[^f00001] and all other powers enabling them to do so.

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Discontinuance of Cornton Vale Prison (Scotland) Order 2023 and comes into force on 6 June 2023.

This Order provides for the discontinuance of Cornton Vale Prison on the day on which the Order comes into force.
