The Human Trafficking and Exploitation (Scotland) Act 2015 (Commencement No. 5) Regulations 2023

The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 45(2) of the Human Trafficking and Exploitation (Scotland) Act 2015[^f00001].
Citation and commencement

These regulations may be cited as the Human Trafficking and Exploitation (Scotland) Act 2015 (Commencement No. 5) Regulations 2023 and come into force on 1 April 2023.
Appointed day
2
The day appointed for the coming into force of section 11 of the Human Trafficking and Exploitation (Scotland) Act 2015, so far as not already in force, is 1 April 2023.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Regulations)
EXPLANATORY NOTE
These Regulations bring fully into force section 11 of the Human Trafficking and Exploitation (Scotland) Act 2015. Section 11 was previously commenced for the purpose of making regulations under paragraph (7) and (8) of that section.
The Bill for the Act received Royal Assent on 4 November 2015. Section 45(1) brought into force sections 40, 41, 42, 44, 45 and 46 on the day after Royal Assent.
