The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the power conferred by section 31(2) of the Hunting with Dogs (Scotland) Act 2023[^f00001].

Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Hunting with Dogs (Scotland) Act 2023 (Commencement) Regulations 2023 and come into force on 3 October 2023.

Appointed day

3 October 2023 is the day appointed for the coming into force of the Hunting with Dogs (Scotland) Act 2023, so far as not already in force[^f00002].

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations appoint 3 October 2023 as the day on which all of the provisions contained in the Hunting with Dogs (Scotland) Act 2023 (“the Act”) will come into force, other than sections 26, 31 and 32 of the Act (which came into force on 8 March 2023 by virtue of provision made in section 31(1) of the Act).
