The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 28(2) of the Good Food Nation (Scotland) Act 2022[^f00001].

Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Good Food Nation (Scotland) Act 2022 (Commencement No. 1) Amendment Regulations 2023 and come into force on 14 December 2023.

Amendment of the Good Food Nation (Scotland) Act 2022 (Commencement No. 1) Regulations 2023

(1) The Good Food Nation (Scotland) Act 2022 (Commencement No. 1) Regulations 2023[^f00002] are amended in accordance with paragraph (2).

(2) In regulation 3 (appointed days), for “31 December 2023” substitute “30 June 2024”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations amend the Good Food Nation (Scotland) Act 2022 (Commencement No. 1) Regulations 2023. Regulation 2 substitutes the date on which sections 3 (requirement to lay proposed plan before the parliament), 7 (reporting) and 8 (review and revision of plan) of the Good Food Nation (Scotland) Act 2022 come into force. Sections 3, 7 and 8 will come into force on 30 June 2024, instead of on 31 December 2023.
