The Children’s Hearings (Scotland) Act 2011 (Safeguarders Panel) Amendment Regulations 2023

The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the power conferred by section 32(2) of the Children’s Hearings (Scotland) Act 2011[^f00001] and all other powers enabling them to do so.
Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Children’s Hearings (Scotland) Act 2011 (Safeguarders Panel) Amendment Regulations 2023 and come into force on 1 May 2023.
Amendment of the 2012 Regulations

In regulation 2 (interpretation) of the Children’s Hearings (Scotland) Act 2011 (Safeguarders Panel) Regulations 2012[^f00002], in the definition of “the Practice Standards” for “July 2015” substitute “February 2023[^f00003]”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
These Regulations amend regulation 2 of the Children’s Hearings (Scotland) Act 2011 (Safeguarders Panel) Regulations 2012. This is to reflect updated Practice Standards for Safeguarders published in February 2023. The Practice Standards for Safeguarders are available at https://www.children1st.org.uk/help-for-families/safeguarders-panel/for-safeguarders/policies-and-guidance/.
A Child Rights and Wellbeing Impact Assessment and an Equality Impact Assessment have been prepared and placed in the Scottish Parliament Information Centre.
