The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 25(2) of the Tied Pubs (Scotland) Act 2021[^f00001].
Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Tied Pubs (Scotland) Act 2021 (Commencement No.1) Regulations 2024 and come into force on 30 April 2024.
Appointed day
2
The day appointed for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Tied Pubs (Scotland) Act 2021 is 30 April 2024—
- (a) section 2 (Scottish Pubs Code Adjudicator),
- (b) section 13 (investigation policy), and
- (c) schedule 2 (Scottish Pubs Code Adjudicator).

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Regulations)
EXPLANATORY NOTE
These Regulations commence sections 2 and 13 and schedule 2 of the Tied Pubs (Scotland) Act 2021 (“the Act”) on 30 April 2024.
The Bill for the Act received Royal Assent on 5 May 2021. Section 3 (duty to act consistently with regulatory principles), section 4 (Scottish Ministers’ duty to seek to make code and appoint adjudicator), section 5 (review of the code and adjudicator’s performance), part 3 (interpretation) and part 4 (final provisions) came into force on the following day.
