The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the power conferred by paragraph 5(2) of schedule 3 of the Education (Scotland) Act 2025[^f00001] and all other powers enabling them to do so.
Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Qualifications Scotland (Appointment of Initial Members) Regulations 2025 and come into force on 1 December 2025.
Initial members of Qualifications Scotland

A person mentioned in column 1 of the table in the schedule who is, immediately before the member appointment date[^f00002], a member of the Scottish Qualifications Authority, is to be taken to have been appointed as a member of Qualifications Scotland under the provisions of schedule 1 of the Education (Scotland) Act 2025 mentioned in the corresponding entry in column 2 of that table.

Explanatory Note
These Regulations provide that the persons mentioned in the schedule who are, immediately before the member appointment date, members of the Scottish Qualifications Authority, are to be taken to have been appointed as members of Qualifications Scotland under paragraph 2(1) of schedule 1 of the Education (Scotland) Act 2025.
