LegalizeAct of Sederunt (Registration Appeal Court) 2026

Coming into force: 13th March 2026
The Court of Session makes this Act of Sederunt under the powers conferred by section 57(2) of the Representation of the People Act 1983[^f00001] and all other powers enabling it to do so.
Citation and commencement, etc.

- (1) This Act of Sederunt may be cited as the Act of Sederunt (Registration Appeal Court) 2026.
- (2) It comes into force on 13th March 2026.
- (3) A certified copy is to be inserted in the Books of Sederunt.
Registration Appeal Court

- (1) The court for hearing appeals under section 57(1)(b) of the Representation of the People Act 1983 is to consist of the Right Honourable Lady Wise, the Right Honourable LadyCarmichael and the Honourable Lord Harrower.
- (2) The Act of Sederunt (Registration Appeal Court) 2025[^f00002] is revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Act of Sederunt appoints three judges to hear registration appeals under section 57 of the Representation of the People Act 1983. It revokes the Act of Sederunt (Registration Appeal Court) 2025 which previously made such provision.
