Act of Sederunt (Lands Valuation Appeal Court) 2026

Made: 11th February 2026

Laid before the Scottish Parliament: 12th February 2026

Coming into force: 13th March 2026

The Court of Session makes this Act of Sederunt under the powers conferred by section 7 of the Valuation of Lands (Scotland) Amendment Act 1879[^f00001] and all other powers enabling it to do so.

Citation and commencement, etc.

• (1) This Act of Sederunt may be cited as the Act of Sederunt (Lands Valuation Appeal Court) 2026.

• (2) It comes into force on 13th March 2026.

• (3) A certified copy is to be inserted in the Books of Sederunt.

Lands Valuation Appeal Court

The judges named for the purposes of appeal under section 7 of the Valuation of Lands (Scotland) Amendment Act 1879 are—

• (a) the Right Honourable Lord Malcolm;

• (b) the Right Honourable Lord Tyre;

• (c) the Right Honourable Lord Clark; and

• (d) the Right Honourable Lord Ericht.

The Act of Sederunt (Lands Valuation Appeal Court) 2025[^f00002] is revoked.

(This note is not part of the Act of Sederunt)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Act of Sederunt appoints the judges who may hear appeals under section 7 of the Valuation of Lands (Scotland) Amendment Act 1879. It revokes the Act of Sederunt (Lands Valuation Appeal Court) 2025 which previously made such provision.
