Increase of limit on borrowing

In section 60 of the New Towns Act 1981 (limit on borrowing by development corporations and Commission for New Towns) for " £3,625 million or such greater sum not exceeding £4,000 million " there shall be substituted " £4,500 million or such greater sum not exceeding £5,000 million ".

Citation and extent.

(1) This Act may be cited as the New Towns Act 1982.

(2) This Act does not extend to Northern Ireland.
