nautical miles” means international nautical miles of 1,852 metres;

For the definition of “foreign sector of the continental shelf” in section1(4) of the Mineral Workings (Offshore Installations) Act 1971 there shall be substituted the following definition—

  • foreign sector of the continental shelf” means an area within which rights are exercisable with respect to the sea bed and subsoil and their natural resources by a country or territory outside the United Kingdom;

In section 6 of the Public Health (Control of Disease) Act 1984 (under which the Port of London is for the purposes of that Act not to extend outside territorial waters) for the words “are for the time being” there shall be substituted the words “ immediately before the coming into force of the Territorial Sea Act 1987 were ”.
